Kenny and I have been wanting to replace our metal blinds with curtains since Day One. At first, our reasoning for replacing them with cloth curtains was purely aesthetic. After living in the trailer, we found a more practical reason to hate them. At night they'd rattle anytime one of us moved and hit them with a foot, arm, or head. Over the last 10 months on the road, we've gone to a number of fabric stores to look for raw fabric, but realized our options were limited since we no longer owned a sewing machine. So, we considered converting already hemmed fabrics like standard window curtains, fabric shower curtains, or blankets that would limit the amount of iron-on hemming we'd have to do. We were about ready to try and convert king-sized pillowcases into curtains (what?!), when we went loitering at Runnings ("Your Home, Farm & Outdoor Store) and found these dish towels.
Then, everything fell into place.
